Honours certificate

When you have successfully finished your Honours College programme and you have completed your bachelor's programme within the nominal study duration, you will receive your honours certificate!

Nominal study duration

You will receive your honours certificate when you have achieved the 180 EC of your bachelor's programme within 3 years, and the 30 EC of the honours programme (either faculty or individual track). That means you have finished your Bachelor's programme within the nominal study duration.

Having to finish within the nominal study duration doesn't mean you cannot diverge from the regular programme, e.g. go abroad! If you want to go abroad for some time, and this will cause a delay in your studies, arrangements can be made in most cases. This also counts for board work.

We expect that you - by August 31st of your third year - have met all the requirements for your Bachelor's degree with the average grade of at least a 7.0. On this date, you must also have completed all the different components of your Honours College programme.

Double Bachelor+

Did you follow the Double Bachelor+ programme? Then there are other rules:

- By August 31st of your third year, you must have achieved a minimum of 210 EC and two Bachelor's degrees with the average mark of at least a 7.

- By August 31st of your fourth year, you must have achieved a minimum of 270 EC and two Bachelor's degrees with the average mark of at least a 7.
