About the Honours Academy
The Honours Academy offers talented and motivated secondary school students (vwo), undergraduates and postgraduates the opportunity to develop the skills they need to become the leaders of the future. Leaders in the broadest sense of the word: as scientists, in business or elsewhere in society. In order to make a difference in society, these students develop and optimise their knowledge and skills. That is their goal at the Honours Academy.
Three programmes for secondary school students, undergraduates and postgraduates
At every stage of your studies the Honours Academy offers you an extracurricular programme in which you can participate: for secondary school students (vwo) there is the Pre-University College and LAPP-Top; for undergraduates there is the Honours College; for postgraduates there is the (International) Leiden Leadership Programme.
To achieve this, a small-scale, stimulating and demanding educational environment is provided. In this environment you will be taught to tackle complex problems, both disciplinary and interdisciplinary. By leaving your comfort zone you will gain more insights in your talents and develop these further, together with the lecturers and your fellow students.
Characteristics of the Honours programmes are:
Small-scale, interactive education;
Demanding interdisciplinary and disciplinary courses;
Access to the Honours Community;
